Legal Question in DUI Law in Illinois

Dui

I got a dui in2001 in Ill,went to the first court hearing.I never,went back for the second hearing.There was a warrant issued.In the meantime i already,had moved to europe.I'm returning to ill ,and i'm wondering if the warrant is still active and if it is ,what matters do i take to resolve this issue?

the warrrant is almost certainly in effect. You need to get an attorney and get this matter cleared up. There is another poster on this site who did not clear his matter up and now regrets it.

The clerk of the court should be able to tell you the status of the case and any warrants.

The answer is that warrents do not expire unless an arrest is made. You should hire a lawyer.
