DUI Resolution after judgement is rendered
The court in my county gave me a verdict which includes a fine of 750.00 for my DUI along with counseling. I also have a fine of 500.00 on record for no insurance. The problem is I am unable to pay my fines. I am currently without a job and staying at a treatment facility. I would like to join the Army Reserve and restart my life but I can't join with the fine pending. My original verdict called for outpatient alcohol treatment sessions which I have exceeded by going to inpatient treatment through the Salvation Army. Would a judge be willing to waive the fine and backdate my suspension six months so I could join the military? Obviously this would be based on the letter of reccomendation I have from my treatment facility as well as my recruiter. This was my first DUI offense and I have had no problems since then. In lieu of the fines I am willing to do community service or even jail if necessary but I can think of no greater community service than serving my country. Let me know if this is possible. Thank you.

Re: DUI Resolution after judgement is rendered
Yes it is possible but your attorney must do the talking in front of the judge; this is done by a motion to reconsider or if the state filed a petition to violate your supervision, it has to be done ASAP; call your attorney and ask him or her to file this motion.
