Legal Question in DUI Law in Illinois

What happens if I am fined with underage drinking in a diffrent state?

I have recently had a friend who got a ticket in illinios for underage drinking. My question is what does he do if he cannot make it to the court hearing, seeing it is out of the state he lives in? Please let me know if I have to contact the city he got charged in or anything like that. Thank you.

It would really help if I knew in what jurisdiction he got arrested in. Why don't you hire a lawyer before a warrant is issued??

He needs to make an appearance regardless - if his parents sign an affidavit on his behalf allowing the court to do as it wishes essentially or to allow his attorney the right to do so, he may avoid the problem but that is at the court's discretion - the first date is crucial however as if he fails to appear, a warrant may be issued for his arrest. Your best bet is to get an attorney who may be able to help him better than he can help himself.
