Both are misdemeanors, so you could probably get supervision, which is expungable. A lot depends on the legality of the stop, and whether the police officer had probable cause to stop you. Only a judge can determine that after a hearing. Please call for a free consultation.

If you proceed without an attorney, there is a good probability that you will receive convictions on your record that will have very serious adverse consequences for you for the rest of your life. You may receive stiff fines and also face jail time. You may lose your driver's license. If you hire an attorney, the attorney may be able to either defend the charges against you or negotiate a plea bargain on your behalf which would be to your advantage. Please do not go through such a serious situation without an attorney. If you can not afford an attorney, ask the judge at your first court date if you can apply for a public defender. If you can afford an attorney but do not know any attorneys, you may call me at the office. If I can't help you myself, I will try to refer you to someone who can.
