Legal Question in DUI Law in Illinois

My son was charged with his second dui in IL. Since then he has been in a downward spiral. I feel that this is a life or death situation. Is there any way I can move him and his court case to my state of residence MN.?

You can not move his Court case. But you should hire the best attorney you can afford for your son. On a second DUI most State's Attorney's will insist upon a conviction and perhaps jail time. An attorney should do everything possible to determine whether the charge may be beaten. If not, an attorney may be able to negotiate a plea bargain and seek to have probation transferred so that you son could return to your home state. I handle a lot of thes in various Courts throughout Illinois, and I may be able to offer my services to you and your son. Please contact me directly if your son does not already have an attorney for a telephone consultation at no charge.
