Suspension of drivers license
My fiance's license was suspended due to non payment of a seatbelt violation that wasn't paid. Since then, he has 2 driving on suspendeds plus a dui. The 1st driving on suspended he wasn't even driving. We had wrecked the truck in the snow, came back to get it and the cops had already impounded it and then gave my fiance a ticket(driving on suspended) even though no one was in the vehicle when they found it. The county now wants a jury trial to prosecute him on this...The 2nd driving on..was when he was going to work, the cop said the reason he was pulling him over was because he ran the plates earlier in the weekend (while I was driving) and seen that it came back driving on suspended...He faces 30 days in jail and they can't even prove (nor can we) that the 1st one was not him...His dui case isn't until october. His 1st one at that...Can we talk to the States Attorney about this since the lawyer we hired isn't doing his job to our best ability?

Re: Suspension of drivers license
In cases such as these, where you already have an attorney, I find it best to inquire as to what the lawyer's trial strategy might be. Often clients perceive that the attorney is doing nothing, and in reality, is preparing the case for trial. Communication is good; speak to your lawyer.
