Wrong name on tickets
I was stopped for illegal amplification and then was given a DUI. After going through everything and getting home i realized that all of the tickets had the wrong last name on them. Are they any good.

It's a trechnicality that the judge will most likely allow to be corrected. But, the policeman must still prove that you were the driver of the vehicle at the time he ticketed you for the drunk driving.

The State's attorney's office will be allowed to amend the tickets to include the correct last name in almost every case like this. The most important thing is for you to obtain competent legal counsel to represent you on the charges. You do not want to take a conviction for DUI if you can help it, and an experienced attorney will either be able to defend the charge or negotiate a plea bargain on your behalf which will avoid the conviction unless you have some prior record which makes this impossible. If you are in the greater St. Louis metropolitan area, I handle such cases in Madison and St. Clair counties, and you can call me at 314-727-2822. If you live outside of this area, be sure to consult with a local lawyer. Good luck!
