Legal Question in Education Law in Illinois
I am being charged with being at a party where i was consuming alcohol underage, and then being in a car two hours later that had marijuana in it. I was not caught at this party on the night when the car was pulled over, in fact i did not get caught at the party the night of. A lot of my friends were charged with underage drinking because of that party, and somehow my name got thrown into the mix and the dean of student affairs alledges that 3 people have told her i was at this party. Again this party occured on a thursday night. i was in a car with marijuana early saturday morning. Should i have an attorney present so i do not self-implicate myself?

You should have an attorney present.
Your school may try to expel you or do some other serious punishment.
