If a child is given an assessment or test outside of class assignment for curriculum establishment without parent consent, is this acceptable?

There should be a "due process" conference at the very least, especially if the result of the assessment, test or whatever will be a change to your child's educational program. The school should have informed you of your child's and your due process rights.
