School Confiscation
What is the general rule on school confiscation? It's a legal device, but against the school rules...i.e. Stereo...The only thing that the handbook says is tat items may be confiscated if they are illegal/inappropriate.

School administrators act "in loco parentis"...which

means in place of the parents...

The courts grant broad discretion to the schools. Many

states have laws that prohibit students from having

any electronic devices on campus without written

permission.

Check you state department of education on this, rather

than the local school handbook.
