My boyfreind just received a letter from public aid telling there will be a hearing this Friday to unvouantrily remove him from the nursing home he is in. His son has power of attorney and is out of the country on vacation and I cannot reach him. What can I do to help him?

Is your boyfriend able to appear? If not call Public Aid and explain the circumstances. Try to get a postponement until his son can return and take control. He will want to use his power as agent under power of attorney to hire a lawyer to represent your boyfriend.
