What does an executor do?
I am executrix of my Father's estate - but am not sure what that involves. Also, someeone has told me that the executor is paid. Is this true? Thank you.

Re: What does an executor do?
If there are assets in your father's name, a probate proceeding must be opened to authorize someone to take charge of his assets, pay his bills and distribute what's left to the beneficiaries. That would be your responsibility as executrix.
An executor may claim reasonable compensation.
If this is for the future, this will give you an idea. If your father is deceased, you will need an attorney to handle the court action and guide you through the process. If I can be of any help, please contact me.
