Father moving into nursing home in 5 days. It will be paid by medicaid. Want to put his house into a special needs trust for his grandson. Does it need to be completed before he moves into the nursing home?

It is probably too late in the day to transfer any assets into a trust, even a special needs trust. Medicaid looks back 5 years fr any transfers and will disqualify the applicant based upon improper transfers such as what you are wanting to do. You should discuss these matters with an experienced estate planning attorney.
