In Illinois. My sister holds power of attorney for our mom. Mom is in a nursing home with Alzheimers. Sister has allowed her son to live in mom's house rent free. He only pays the taxes and does some house repairs. She also gave him mom's car to use. Will my sister get in trouble for this when mom dies and it is time to settle her estate?

Only if you make trouble for her. Someone has to watch the house. Paying the taxes is rent. Whether it is market value rent is a different question.
