My mother had a massive stroke in December. She is paralyzed on her right side. She was in rehab, but now a nursing home. She has about $10,000 in the bank, but does own her home. We know they will put a lien on the house. She has a $5000 life insurance policy. Can we take money from her account to help pay funeral costs, or is that not allowed. We live in Illinois.
