My Mother has terminal cancer. My brother has convinced her that he is going to save her by making her swallow marijuana capsules, smoking marijuana & rubbing a marijuana paste he made all over her body. He has convinced her top stop taking the medications her doctor's have prescribed. He has no medical back round. He is not her medical POA. He has intimidated her into following his orders & not her doctors. What can we do legally to get him to stop?

I would start by contacting the Adult Protective Services (APS) provider in your mother's region and telling them that it is an emergency. Click here to find out who that is: https://www.illinois.gov/aging/Resources/Documents/APS_ProviderList.pdf
After you reach out to APS, you may also want to call the police and alert them of this activity. Even marijuana that is obtained legally is a controlled substance. I have never heard of any "marijuana paste" that might be legal in the State of Illinois.
You can also file a Petition for Guardianship and demand Temporary Guardianship on an emergency basis. However, there are serious costs and factors to consider before doing so, which are mentioned at: http://media.wix.com/ugd/78c99f_6b4257aa2e97462d97edcd945187cb2a.pdf
However, the APS provider or the police will likely get you the quickest results.
