Is there any way you can get power of attorney and power of medical even when doctor says they need it and mom and dad say no. Mom has the start of dementia and has always been boss of house and dad still does what she says even if he knows it wrong. They are 79 and 84. They also have a roach infested house that they will not anybody do anything about.

You can't force someone to execute a power of attorney. In the type of situation you've presented, a petition for guardianship might be appropriate. A court can appoint someone to be legal guardian of another, sometimes even against their wishes. But it is done in the context of a court proceeding in which the alleged disabled person has certain rights, including the right to notice of the proceedings.

You have to hire a lawyer and seek court appointed guardianship. Please call for an appointment.
