Last Will and Testameint
I have an elderly relative who lived in New Jersey. She became ill and was admitted to a nursing home in Illinois. I am her POA and I live in Minnesota. Her will was created in New Jersey. Do I need to have a new will created in Illinois? In Minnesota?

Re: Last Will and Testameint
Hello and Happy Holidays. Your relative's New Jersey will can be
probated in Illinois should she pass
here, therefore I do not suggests that
another will be prepared. I will be
happy to discuss this with you further
and in more detail. You may want to
open a disabled person's estate here
in Illinois due to your relative's
ailing health. A disabled person's
estate would further protect your relative's assets and would insure that there is one person with authority to oversee her business affairs.
