Legal Question in Entertainment Law in Illinois
I was in an adult sports league that a guy gets together every year. We pay a $500 fee to get in. The league has a handbook of rules. We were halfway through the season and a player from another team shoved a player from ours and we later found out that we were kicked out of the league. The handbook states that if players fight, that those players would be would be warned and suspended for one game and if it happens a second time teams will vote on whether to keep that player or not. Somehow they skipped all rules and kicked our whole team out of the league for something we never did and they refuse to give our money back. If they did not go by there official rules and do not give our money back, can legal action be taken?

Sure, you can always take something like this to small claims court. It will be a matter of interpreting their rules (perhaps just the handbook).
