I did too at 15; I don't know too many who don't want to feel independent. And I was adopted too. This is a difficult time in your life. You can seek an order of "emancipation" at age 16 in Illinois, but that takes planning. Where would you go; what would you do? At 15 you're still under your parents' responsibility -- including school. You're life is barely beginning; don't be hasty.
