Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois

i am a 19 year old divorced mother with a 3 year old daughter and i share joint custody with her father. At the time of the divorce i agreed to this but i wish i didnt. I agreed to every other weekend and twice during the week..once all night and once from 5-8. I feel like at the time the divorce was very painful for me that i wanted to get it over with as quickly as possible. i know that what he does with her in his time is none of my business and i have no say but i feel like its not in the best interest for my daughter because it greatly affects my time with her and how she acts on a daily bases. She spends the night with his mother and he rarely spends any time with her..he always dumps her off and runs off doing the things he wants..i can never get ahold of him and his mother is the one i have to answer to..i want my daughter to have her father but she isnt getting that and i feel as if im sharing custody with her..instead of him..i didnt know if there were something i could do to change it..i also dont think its healthy that she not only spends the night with her on his time but sleeps with her as well..gives her candy and soda late at night and it affects her day at school the next day..i would like to know if there is any way possible that i could change this or if its even possible to fight it and get a change.

You need to go back to court with that information and see if the judge will modify the decree. If you had an attorney help you then, you should have one help you now. These are painful lessons but you should do what you think best for your daughter, of course. You're the mom. Forever. Best of luck.
