Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois
i am 25 years old and am active duty military. I was adopted by my biological grandparents. can i be legally emancipated from one parent if i want nothing to do with him at all so that he cannot contest my will or anything?

You are legally emancipated already. Nothing says to have to leave a parent anything in your will. you may have no assets which pass by will anyway. You can name beneficiaries on your insurance and may be able to do so on your pension benefits. Just have a properly prepared will done which disinherits whomever you want to disinherit
