for 14 years, i have been receiving the same amount of child support from my children's father which is $500 a month for two kids. he makes over $50k/yr(police officer). what are my chances for getting an increase if i take him back to court?

It seems from what you have told me that you would be awarded an increase in child support. My guesstimate is it would be close to $670, but that is only an estimate. Let me know if you have any other questions.
I'd say quite good. Unfortunately in most circumstances any increase would only be effective from the date you file a motion asking for the increase FORWARD. I'd bet you left some money on the table over the years.
Did any old orders require him to disclose his income/tax returns, ect. to you each year? If he WAS supposed to have done that and didn't you may have a case to get an increase retroactively.
