Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois
Acoording to my divorce decree, my ex-husband is supposed to pay his half of medical bills for my 2 children within 15 days of me subitting the bills to him. He was laid off at the end of March and has not collected unemployment yet. I have submitted bills to him that he claims he does not have to pay since he has not collected unemployment yet. Should I contact my divorce attorney?

He has to pay until there is a court order modifying the judgment. But be realistic.,. He may not have the money now . If you raise the issue he may file a motion to modify the judgment. If you sit back, he still owes the money.
