Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois

Adoption

Since birth my son hasn't had a father because I had no clue who the father is. Everything's great with just myself and my son, but I've been seeing a guy who would like to in the future adopt my son. Considering I have no idea who the real father is, would it be possible to have him adopt him? And if so.. how would we go about it?

Re: Adoption

The best way "to go about" an adoption is to hire an attorney who is knowledgeble in adoption law. Even though you don't know who the father is, you will have to give notice, even if it is general. Your lawyer can explain all that to you.
