Re: adoption rights
Hello. This is a very serious problem. From
your question I am assuming that in a written
agreement you signed away your rights to your
children. However, it is questionable whether
this is a binding agreement. Generally, the
courts will look very closely at agreements which
call for the mother to sign away her parental
rights. It appears from your question that your
ex-husband may not have been honest with you when
he said that you would get pictures of your children and could right them. In fact, it is
clear that you may not have wanted to terminate
your parental rights, but were willing to let
your children reside with you. You may want to
consider getting into court and asking the judge
to set aside this agreement in the best interest
of your children. I will be happy to answer
any additional questions that you may have.
