Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois

Adoptive son back with Biological Mother

My wife had a son which was put up for adoption. He was adopted by her aunt in IL. He is now 16 years old and my wife's aunt decided that she couldn't put up with him anymore so she sent him to live here in FL with us. She sent a signed letter stating she give's guardianship to her. Is there anything else she needs to do?

Hello. I suggests that a formal guardianship

be established for your wife's son. It is

probably best that this be done in Florida as

soon as possible. You should retain a Florida

attorney who understands Florida law.
