Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois

Dear Lawguru: I would like to know if adultary is against the law in the state of Illinois and if you can include it in divorce procedings or not, is it worth a persons time to do so and will the court allow it to be part of the divorce hearing or will they just ignore it. I have an attorney but i just want to know before I talk to him again about it.

Yes, adultery is still illegal in the State of Illinois. It is very seldom prosecuted, but the law remains on the books. Whether it is a worthwhile issue in your divorce remains an issue for your counsel.
