Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois

I need advice on what to do about my daughter.

My mother has been taking care of my daughter for 2 years. I was 17 when I had her and made really bad choices, I wasnt doing drugs or anything just young and not ready to take care of a baby. Now I am trying to get my life together as far as a good place to live and things of that nature, but my mother and sister threaten me everytime I go to take my daughter anywhere that if I don't have her back at a certain time they are going to call the cops and so on so forth. They have no legal documents or rights to her. I just need to know what I should do.

This is simple. She is your child and from the sound of it, you have complete and sole custody. So you are free to take the child and never return her. If you make that decision, be sure to think it through and first speak with an attorney. You need to make sure that there are no guardianship issues and so on.
