Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois
Agreements ouside of Law Norms
It seems that our attorneys are telling us each a different story. My ex & I have made agreements regarding support (guideline + 1/2 daycare), visitation (he will not see my 4 year olds without my presence) 2x/week, change the children's last name before they start school, I claim both on all tax returns,I have absorbed all martital debts $20,000.00, gave him 1 car(still paying on it). Although our agreements do not conform to the usual guidelines in family law, can the judge order us to change our agreements? We want the divorce yesterday & my lawyer says that if I don't agree with what the judge says then we go to trial. Is this right ? We are paying them instead of spending the money on our children. Please offer a 3rd opinion. THANKS !!

Re: Agreements ouside of Law Norms
I think that your lawyer forgot who the boss is. I do not see anything in your outline that a judge would object to other than the supervised visits. However as long as your husband does not object it will pass the judge. If these lawyers do not do as you ask fire them. I can divorce you in 21 days or less if you and the spouse sign an agreement. I would cgarge you $1500. See my web site for details. call me for a free consultation.
