Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois

How often can the amount of child support be changed? I just started a new job and my ex-wife wants her child support automatically to be raised. Can she do this or does she have to wait until my 2009 earnings have been calculated from my tax returns or W2's?

She can do it but you have several defense. Most important one is that she has to prove that you will be receiving 20% more than you were receiving at your old job. She does not have to wait for your 2009 W-2's or income tax return.
