Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois
Appeal of indicated charge
DCFS is indicating a charge of sexual molestation but it is all on the word of our 4 year old granddaughter and I want to know if we can get copies of the report from whoever interviewed her. I wan to know exactly how she was asked about this subject, what her mood was when she was interviewed, if she acted scared of what supposedly happened. I want to know as much as I can about what rights we have to the information gathered because the incident in question happened in late October and we were only contacted in February.

Re: Appeal of indicated charge
Who is indicated? Both of her grandparents? If she is making the claims, but there are no charges, you best bet is to hire an attorney to look into the charges, and see what stage of the investigation the case is in. You DO NOT want to inquire yourselves, as anything you say can hurt you. Feel free to contact my office, or send additional questions.
