Attorney Fees & Underpaid Wife

My spouse & have been separated since 10/99.

I paid all of her living expenses for the first 3 months of separation.

I also gave her full title of one of our cars.

During our marriage she worked on and off -- by her choice not mine.

We both have college degrees -- I have even gotten her several jobs through my recruiting agency since separation.

She currently lives with another man (the manager of the band that she sings with)

She refuses to work during the.

We have 2 small children that I pay child support for every month.

We are currently working out the divorce agreement -- I can barely afford to pay my attorney fees and forced to do most of my work pro se, with an attorney reviewing my paperwork for a fee...

She has ''retained'' an expensive lawyer with the intent on my pay the attorney fees.

Can I fight this?

You asked whether you can contest your wife's demand for payment of her attorney's fees in negotiating the final decree. Certainly. You can argue that each party should pay their own attorney's fees. You mentioned that you have an attorney, so I urge you to discuss this with your attorney.
