Do i need an attorney in Oregon of Illinois??
The mother of my child lives in Illinois, she has for almost one year now, along with my child. I live in oregon and have for almost two years. The child was born in Montana and the Child support order originated there. I have no court ordered visitation, only child support i must pay. She is trying to hide from me and have her new husband adopt my daughter. Do i need an attorney in Oregon or in Illinois?? I know where she is, but i need help. thank you jory

You need an attorney in Illinois. The child's home
state is where she has lived for the past six months.
It appears no one has any contact with California
since the divorce. Also, your ex-wife will need your
signature to have her new husband adopt your
daughter. However, you should contact an
Illinois attorney to establish visitation.
Good luck.
