audio record can be proof in il court?

i was physicly and emotionaly abused by my wife. i got emergancy order of protection, which one was extended for next 6 months. i started to record our ''conversations'' using digital voice recorder. it is my best proof what happened beside pictures (bruises, nail scratches etc), 3 police reports, 1 doctor's exam. my question: can i use these audio recordings in divorce court (chicago, il)?

Hello. You cannot use the voice recordings in

court. The taping of your wife, without her

knowledge, is a violation of the Federal Eavesdropping Law. Also, in my opinion, a

Divorce Judge would not allowed the recording

into evidence for other reasons pertaining to

the rules evidence.
