aunt wants custody of minor children from brothers girlfriend
Hello, I am the aunt of 3 minor children that my brother had with his girlfriend of 3 years and I want to get custody of this kids due to her mental status, drug use, and violent tendecies. Can I get custody and what do I need to do?

Yes. You can get custody of your
nephew's children. I would make a
report to the Department of Children
and Family Services first. Then regardless of the findings of DCFS
I would file an adoption petition. I
think this is the best procedure given
the circumstances you have provided
in your posting. I will be happy to

are many issues that an adoption judge
must consider.
