My father recently inherited a piece of property. How do I put a lien on the property for back child support.

File the lien in the county recorder's office.

Re: Back Child Support

That process requires a few steps. You need to get a judgment, then present that to the court and get a lein on the home. Given the situation, you might also need to file a TRO, or a Lis Pendans. As I reread your question, I notice you stated "My father". Depending on your age, and other factors, you may not be the correct party to bring this action. Feel free to provide more details.
