Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois

birth certificate w/o proper documentation

My cousin, who is 47 years old, just told me she can't go on vacation abroad because she doesn't have a birth certificate. Her mother, who has been deceased for 20 years gave birth under a fictitious name. The hospital has burned down and she has no records of the birth. How does she go about getting a birth certificate. What a mess!

I'd appreciate any information you can give me.

Hello. There is hope for your cousin. It will

be necessary to work theough the census bureau

to get her birth certificate. This can be alittle tricky , but I know this can be done. I will be happy to answer any additional questions.
