my boyfriend who is not her father adopting my daughter

My daughter is 4, her biological dad hasnt seen her in over a year, pays no child support and is an alcholic. He cant hold a job or keep a roof over his head. He did sign the paternity paper they gave us at her birth. We never were married. I now am with a normal man, and i would like to know how we can go about him adopting my daughter. We have no idea where the birth father is , so how would we do this? thank you for your help.

The first thing you have to do is hire an attorney. Your ex may be listed on the "putative father" list. if not, then you would serve him by publication. Please call me for a free consultation.
