Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois
I want to change my child's middle name. She was born in IL but we now reside in TX. They said we have to contact IL to see what they require but I have had a hard time contacting someone. Does IL have special requirements for people born in the state but resides somewhere else to change a child's name?

I am not your attorney, and cannot give you legal advice.
I'm not aware of any "special" requirements. Each state has different requirements for a name change, but typically you need to petition the court in the jurisdiction in which you reside when you want to change your name.
