Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois
A Change in the Custody Decision...What happens?
I have primary custody of my daughter for the majority of the school year, she goes to her mothers for the summer, my question is of the final draft of the judgement. In the Paperwork it says that during the summer my daughter will come back with me for the 2 weeks her mother goes to her National Guard summer training. My problem is that she is no longer with the national guard, and I am wondering do I lose my 2 weeks with my daughter now, do I have to go back to court to get the wording changed. Or can I still get my 2 weeks with her since I had nothing to do with her quiting the national guard?
Thank you for any information.

Re: A Change in the Custody Decision...What happens?
My advice to you is to go back to court to modify the language of the order. You are still entitled to the 2 weeks but you need to make sure this does not cause problems in the future.
