Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois
changing a court order without notice?
my mother has guardinship of my 2 oldest girls and i have filed an order to show cause a month ago as she continues to disregard the court order and hasnt let me see or speak to my daughters in over 100 days.i have also filed 3 visitation interference reports this month.now all of the sudden without my knowledge she hasgotten a different judge who will be handling the case and he has written a stipulation to the order foer supervised visitationleaving her, defendant, with full discretion of visitation saying that she decides who i bring who she brings and that she may supervise....i never recieved a copy and the sherrifs office did.what good is a court order if they will allow her to break it and change it exparte?supervised visitation is so that a neutral party attends to keep conflict at minimum.this all started when she brought 8 people to a visit and called the police and refused visitation because i had a pastor with me,one person.she is still breaking the order, what can i do? we are both pro se as she was dropped by her attorney.she is the defendant.shouldnt i have been allowed to be present before changes were made....is this misconduct?and what should i do?

You really need to consult a local family law attorney. I have no idea how she would manage to change judges, did she get an Emergency Order of Protection? An attorney could really help you with this, there is no simple answer to your question.
