Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois

child custody

I am in contempt for not allowing my ex to see his kids. He was molesting them and I could not get help anywhere and no legal assistance. DCFS did investigation and said there was no actual penetration so they cant do anything about it. I will not stand by and him have to opportunity to ''penetrate'' them. So now I have a warrant in the county of our divorce. My ex has said that if I dont turn myself in that the judge will issue an APB, full warrant and when they ''find'' us will put the kids in foster care until he can come get them. Is this possible? According to local law enforcement, the issue is a civil matter and is not enforceable anywhere but in that county and is not even a misdemeanor. My question is: is this possible or is he just saying these things to get a hold of his kids for another opportunity? Please contact me ASAP. Thank you.

Re: child custody

First of all "APB" is television crap. A judge issues a bench warrant, and the sheriff of that county executes it. Yes, they could come to your house and arrest you. My suggestion is to make emergerncy arrangements for the children, just in case. You don't mention which county the case is pending in. You need a lawyer. I'm assuming that you don't have one. If you can't afford one, look to the county's legal aid lawyers. Good luck.
