Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois

Child Custody and Marriage

Ok, I need some advice so I thought I would start here. My GF of 4 years just lost her custody battle with her ex-husband. She is now divorced and was ordered by the court to begin child support payments for her daughter. They have joint custody and my GF gets her daughter 3 weekends out of the month and summers are split. I also just found out that my GF is pregnant by me. My GF is planning to stop working this summer and we want to eventually get married.

Here are my questions:

-Is being pregnant considered a hard ship and will she still have to pay child support when she stops working around the 6th or 7th month of pregnancy?

-Do I have any legal obligation to pay my GF's child support that see can no longer pay because she is pregnant and has stopped working and will no longer work after the new baby comes?

-If we get married can the court order me, the new step-dad, to pay my new wife's child support that she can no longer pay because she is not working because of our new baby?

Re: Child Custody and Marriage

Your GF needs to go into court and ask for a reduction and your income does not come into play for her child support
