Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois

child custody/visitation

I suspect my ex is trying to summons me for visitation/custody. I have an order of protection against him because of abuse towards me and my family. He is to have no third party contact either. Do I have to except the summons? Also can I use voice recordings off of my answering machine that proves he is unstable, and only taking me to court because I broke up with him.

My opinion is that life is too short to try to hide from a summons. Eventually you will get served, and probably in the middle of work or somewhere equally embarrassing. I tell people all the time, deal with the issue, get before the court, get it behind you. And voicemails are admissible to show his state of mind. Let me know if you have any further questions.
