child with no marriage

we have a 2 year old child, and never been married to the mother. I am on the birth certifcate,as the father, can I leave the state with my daughter???

It s not a good idea to do that unless you establish paternity and custody first and get court permission to leave the state (I'm assuming you'd be leaving the state without the mother). You should consult a family law attorney.
