Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois

child support hearing.

My ex-wife has requested a child support hearing. No doubt to raise the amount of support. I have always given 20%of net income to meet my obligation. It is likely her attorney will ask that wages be garnished. Can an Illinois Court ask that wages be garnished from a Texas Corporation.

Re: child support hearing.

Dear Sir:

Yes, there is no getting around having the support deeucted from your paycheck. If the TX corporation were to refuse, they could get hit with severe penalties. However, it is unusual for a court to order you to pay more than 20%. If I can be of further help, please feel free to contact me!

Absolutely!! The Texas court would first have to recognize the IL order. Just a matter of procedure if all i's are dotted and t's crossed.
