Child support

In Illinois, if you are owed child support...is there a time limit after the said child turns 18 to collect what's owed from the other parent?

Re: Child support

No, unlike any other type of judgment that can only be collected for 20 years, child support judgments have no statute of limitations. I'd need to know more about the child support obligor's situation but think about things like a wage deduction, attaching his/her real estate or pension assets.

Please call or email to discuss options to collect child support.

Frequently the answer is no, you can still collect. How far back do you want to go?
