child support

Can you tell me where in the Illinois Statutes that it explains what child support is to be used for, not specifically, but I believe that in tells whether or not child support includes school registration.

Hello. That is a great question. The Domestic

Relations Division in Cook County, specifically,

has a practice of ordering non-custodial parents to pay at least 1/2 of the miscellaneous costs of

their child over and above child support. In

my opinion, school registration is a miscel-

laneous expense. I have not been able to find

specific reference to this topic in the Illinois

Compiled Statutes, but I am sure there is case

law to support this trend. Hope my answer has
