Re: Child Support Jurisdiction

Dear Sir:

Florida will have jurisdiction over the child, but after court proceedings take place in Florida, you will have the opportunity to appear in Illinois court, and you can request that DNA testing be done, to make sure you are the father, and otherwise defend yourself in Illinois.

I hope that is helpful. If you have other questions, please feel free to send me an e-mail anytime.

Sincerely,

G. Nordgren

Re: Child Support Jurisdiction

Where does she intend to live after she delivers? Florida or somewhere else. State only has jurisdiction when child actually resides in the state. However, contact one of those pro-life organizations. They are probably looking for a test case.
